The Company offers Suddenlink-branded digital cable television,high-speed Internet and voice services to residential and business customers across the western, midwestern and southern states. Additionally, for its
business customers, Suddenlink provides targeted television and online advertising services.


The Supervisor of Direct Sales (Door-to-Door Sales) manages the recruiting, hiring, firing, training and performance of the Direct Sales Representatives who call on residents and multi-family households. This position also works to ensure that the sales strategy and sales goals set at the corporate, region and district levels are followed and achieved respectively, by the Direct Sales Representatives. Sales Supervisor will also be required to assist systems in achieving budgeted quota and goals from time to time in which additional commission compensation will apply. Direct Reports may include Direct Sales, Internal and Contract Sales Representatives.



  • Leads and motivates all Internal and Contract Direct Sales Representatives in Door-to-Door activity to meet or exceed corporate/regional sales goals
  • Conducts daily sales meetings with reps
  • Periodically develops account forecasts
  • Assigns territories customer sales opportunities and sales goals to individual Direct Sales Representatives based on their skill levels and on corporate/regional sales goals (quotas plus key sales objectives) for the system
  • Sets direction and maintains focus of direct reports
  • Coordinates effectively with operational and installation counterparts to ensure high quality customer service
  • Collaborates with the Regional Sales Manager, District Marketing Managers and System Managers to ensure customer leads received from their direct reports and passed on to the Direct Sales Representatives as appropriate
  • Guides and monitors Direct Sales Representatives to ensure sales goals are achieved in alignment with corporate/regional sales strategies
  • Coaches and mentors Direct Sales Representatives on their performance (including sales skills)
  • Conducts reviews of direct reports to ensure that performance standards are met and, if not, takes immediate action to improve performance level
  • Maintains effective utilization performance and career development of Direct Sales Representatives in all targeted areas
  • Approves commission reports for Direct Sales Representatives
  • Updates Realtime with all required customer information in a timely manner
  • Ensures that Direct Reports use and update Realtime with all required customer information in a timely fashion
  • Serves as a subject matter expert and/or on selected customer sales
  • Controls expenses while meeting or exceeding revenue goals and maximizing product margin
  • Supervisor will complete new hire paper work on newly hired reps
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in communication sales demonstrating progressive leadership positions Must be able to coach and mentor Direct Sales Representatives to achieve sales goals
  • Must have a proven record of accomplishment of leading a team and achieving objectives and quotas
  • Knowledge of communications industry
  • Strong negotiation, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong administrative and supervisory skills
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Strong people and relationship management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill
  • Ability to manage tasks
  • Computer skills including Windows based applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook)
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel to customer locations
  • Experience in communications industry preferred

Working Conditions

  • Work both indoors and outdoors
  • Outdoor work may be in adverse weather conditions
  • Schedules may include days, nights and weekends
