    Altice Business develops customized, commercial telecommunications services and solutions for medium- and large-size businesses, including hospitals and schools in the New York Tri-State area.


    Performs installation of Altice Business' telecommunications equipment and services located in customer locations and co-location sites throughout NYMA with maximum supervision. Works on assignments from facility and circuit inventory system using standard procedures, tools, and equipment.  Assigned to higher level installation field technicians to assist in installation of equipment at customer or Altice Business sites. Pre-assemble and wire electronic components supporting SONET & TDM and Ethernet protocols. Connect AC or DC power to electronic components and verify backup power functionality. Install proper grounding of equipment isolating ground cables from power and signal cables. Install fiber or copper cabling in a quality manor ensuring cables are neat and properly secured within standard bend radius specifications. Label and tag all equipment, panels and jumpers with Altice Business label and circuit ID. Verify information in facility/circuit inventory systems matches installation, update notes and complete as-built changes in systems when installation differs from design.



    • Associates degree preferred Experience with Altice Business accounts strongly preferred
    • Valid state driver’s license applicable to state law
    • Ability to operate all tools and equipment in a safe and responsible manner
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb ladders up to 10 feet in height.
    • Ability to use wide variety of hand and power tools
    • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays and work overtime as required.
