The Data Insights Manager is responsible for the execution of the data strategy to meet the needs of the global organization.   Provide business insight around ad-hoc and recurring activity and requests.  The incumbent functions as a data steward and will be responsible for working with other departments to provide insights into business related issues as they relate to and impact marketing and the organization at large. He/she will then be responsible for understanding the business need, mining data and ultimately analyzing, reporting and presenting those findings with actionable insights. To accomplish this, the incumbent must be intimately familiar with marketing-generated data (online and offline), external vendor data and data created and stored by other internal groups including sales, operations and metrics functions. The incumbent will need to access raw data using Microstrategy, SAS and/or SQL programming and then aggregate to summarize results. Create complex ad hoc reports and analysis which require use of multiple data stores, and acquire and stage data for use by numerous analysts within and outside the department.  Analyze and recommend areas for additional analysis.   Troubleshoot automated processes as necessary.


Key Contacts with relationships are the VP, Media Strategy and Insights.  The goal is to be the focal point for marketing use of intra-company data, and is team leader for assignment of ad hoc and analytical jobs. To the Director of Campaign Management this person is to provide recommendations for data management and data acquisition.  To the Director Organizational wide this person partners with for creative problem solving and provides analysis and insights.  To the Manager of Business Intelligence this person provides recommendations for data management and availability.  To the Manager Organizational wide this person partners with for creative problem solving and provides analysis and insights.


  • SQL and SAS programming
  • Familiarity with business intelligence software, preferably Microstrategy
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably Computer Science/MIS
  • Minimum 8 years experience data analysis.
  • Minimum 8 years experience database system
  • Proven track record of ability to summarize and present findings
  • Knowledge of Informatica a plus
  • Very comfortable with an communication to difference audience members of all levels
