Reporting to the Vice President of Financial Systems, the Lead Financial Systems Professional will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of all ATS financial systems in production.  Responsible for the electronic distribution of financial information. Assist in developing PC applications to automate manual processes.  Key relationships will entail working directly with the ATS and AUSA staff by prioritizing department and company objectives.  Working with the Assistant Divisional Controllers to provide feedback on work in progress and approve work completed by Financial Systems.  Working with Financial Planning Staff to coordinate budget/forecast information to be loaded in Oracle system as required.  Working with the ATS and AUSA Management Team to provide reports for external reporting requirements.  Assisting the Accounts Payable team in providing reports for external reporting requirements.

Oversees the operation and daily performance of the ATS financial systems, as well as ensuring the integrity of financial system applications.  Oversee and assist in the setup and maintenance of all financial applications. This includes General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Purchasing, Inventory, Order Entry, Cash Management, Payroll, and all other financial applications.  Oversee and assist in the electronic distribution of information. This includes FSG reports, OBIEE reporting, Excel or Access customized reports, and all other forms of electronic distribution.  Responsible for the support of all third party interfaces to financial applications.   Work with Accounting, IT group and consultants to develop efficient and flexible solutions to meet business requirements.  Assist in developing PC applications to automate various manual functions performed by the financial community.  Work with various department heads on adhoc tasks that involve technical solutions.  Work on special projects as requested by management


Technical/Functional Competencies

  • Technical proficiency with PC’s, MS Access, MS Excel (including macros), Monarch, etc. Knowledge of latest technical trends with respect to financial systems
  • Thorough understanding of the capabilities and uses of financial systems
  • Minimum four years experience in an automated accounting systems environment
  • Ability to multi task and follow up in a fast pace environment
  • Ability to develop new strategies relating to financial systems
  • Ability to use available tools to create adhoc reports to meet business requirements
