    Responsibilities

    Job Summary

    The Senior Developer works closely with the Web Development Team Lead in developing digital solutions and plays a major role in the planning, designing, coding and implementation of all web projects. The ideal candidate will be proactive in finding technical solutions and keeps in mind the overall picture when it comes to building websites such as UX, visual design, SEO, analytics, branding, content management, etc. The candidate should have a strong working knowledge of Drupal development (7 and 8), possessing the ability to stand up and configure new Drupal sites, including themes, content types, taxonomies, and workflows. The ideal candidate will embrace a lead role on the team and actively participate in the overall team’s projects, lending assistance and providing solutions.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Build and maintain Drupal Web sites and Drupal-based applications
    • Evaluate/configure/install contributed modules as well as develop custom modules
    • Complete front-end development of websites and digital applications
      • Coding applications that call internal backend services/data and update the front-end
      • Create UI that integrate with various APIs (Google, Twitter, Facebook, etc.)
    • Troubleshoot site errors and CSS issues and implement fixes
    • Implements various analytic tags and tracking codes (Omniture, Google Analytics) along with developing custom tagging
    • Responsible for supporting and maintaining legacy websites that are built on outdated architecture and code.
    • Works with the Engineering department in building, merging and deploying code
    • Researches and learns new web technologies, APIs and programming languages and JS libraries as projects dictate.
    • Performs Cross-browser/device testing
    • Assist in performing routine content updates using various Content Management Systems
    • Perform web production tasks such as video encoding, asset management and editing/exporting various graphical elements.
    • Available when needed to support production builds from home during nights/after-hours.

    Qualifications

    Essential Functions

    • Build and maintain Drupal Web sites and Drupal-based applications
    • Evaluate/configure/install contributed modules as well as develop custom modules 

    Qualifications / Requirements

    • Extensive Drupal experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
    • Knowledge of key Drupal APIs like Queue API, Node API, Entity API, etc.
    • Advanced skills in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, JSP, JSON and XML.
    • At least 8 years’ experience working as a front-end developer
    • Experienced using AngularJS and knowledge of Ruby on Rails, NodeJS, ReactJS
    • Highly experienced with file versioning such as Subversion and GIT.
    • Extremely comfortable doing front-end work on sites that are built with JSP and PHP.
    • Complete understanding of Responsive Design, building mobile first websites and comfortable using frameworks such as Twitter Bootstrap.
    • Knowledge of CSS preprocessors like LESS/SASS
    • Experience with CMS platforms such as Drupal and WordPress or enterprise CMS experience.
    • Understanding of back-end technologies and comfortable working with back-end developers. Java knowledge a plus.
    • General software development knowledge
    • Strong understanding of latest UX trends and techniques with the ability to solve for UI challenges on the fly.
    • Comfortable using Photoshop to slice designs and cut up assets
    • Ability to work within a team of developers, producers, designers and product managers and willing to lend assistance on various types of projects no matter how big or small.
    • Must provide online portfolio or examples of websites that you have created and worked on.
