    Responsibilities

    At a4 – Commercial Insertion, our business is fast paced and ever changing. As a member of our team you will be responsible for content and schedule distribution; monitoring insertion equipment performance; retrieval and processing of insertion verification data; and the maintenance and support of technical systems in service delivery of our business.

     

    Responsibilities include: 

    • Provides quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Company values.
    • Must have the ability to execute normal daily operating procedures:
      • Loading of schedules
      • Retrieval of Verifications
      • Spot Encoding (after hours)
      • Insertion equipment maintenance and trouble shooting
      • Assembly of Reports
    • Must be able to work effectively with the Traffic & Billing and Encoding departments to ensure high spot air success.
    • Ensure that all Headend Insertion Equipment is operating properly through the use of high speed network.
    • Responsible for the monitoring of all networks that air local advertising for audio and video quality, timing and success/failure of spot playback

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required. Related Associates Degree( preferred)
    • Strong knowledge in Windows/Windows NT/2000, Microsoft Office software, personal computers and local area networking equipment required
    • 1-2 years video operations or electronics experience preferred; college level technical, electronic, or telecommunications courses may be considered as equivalent
    • Strong professional verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize effectively
    • Strong people and relationship management skills
    • Background using computer graphics, character generators and digital effects in a television broadcast or postproduction facility is preferred
    • Video engineering or broadcast television work experience a plus
    • Knowledge of Linux (preferred)
    • Microsoft SQL platforms (preferred)
    • Possibility of 10-20% travel required
